Upcoming Star: John Robert Powers Sacramento's Mathias Anderle!

Hey everyone, here is a young actor and model that is pretty special. Mathias has been with JRP Sacramento since August of 2005. He was a very friendly, very handsome little guy, and almost immediately had success as a model, signing with Seattle Models Guild. He booked a ton of ads, modeling with Macy's, Nordstrom, and Nordstrom.com, but then took some time off to pursue soccer at a high level. He came back this summer, and we got him back into workshops, and now he is heading to LA for iPOP. I have super high hopes for this kid as an actor and a model, he has a very unique and interesting look, and has been taking his acting workshops very seriously. He has also impressed everyone with his singing and song-writing ability, and has a new single called "Kisses in the Rain" that sounds like it could be a huge hit. Hey everybody, super exciting audition news for January 24th. We are going to host Krisha Bullock Casting! They are in charge of casting for the Nickelodeon super-hit "iCarly"! This should be a very fun audition! All JRP Sacramento models and actors should be auditioning for this! Krisha is one of the best casting directors in LA, and she only comes to John Robert Powers Sacramento to find actors in Northern California!

Big news in Sactown!

More fantastic news, Harriet Greenspan of "Zoey 101" and "Unfabulous" fame is heading back to scout JRP Sacramento. She is working on an exciting new sitcom called "Truth Jackson, VP". Harriet is a fantastic producer and casting director, this should be a very exciting opportunity for our John Robert Powers Sacramento clients.

John Robert Powers Sacramento modeling Success Story: Andrey Ivanoff

This is Andrey, the older of the "Brothers Ivanoff" who are doing so much now in the modeling and fashion world. Andrey is signed with the best modeling agencies in the business, Wilhelmina LA, and Ford of Europe. I could probably post something new every week from this exciting new model, he really is going to make John Robert Powers proud. He just flew home from Paris because he has been booked to be the exclusive model for a huge new Trousardi campaign. This should be the start of a great modeling career, and it couldn't be happening to a nicer guy, Andrey is as classy of young man as I have ever worked with at JRP. John Robert Powers Sacramento Success Story: Brannon Tompkins

Hey Everyone, here is another great acting and modeling success story, Mr. Brannon Tompkins. He started with John Robert Powers Sacramento in January, and has some fantastic things happen already. He signed across the board with the talent agency Superior Talent LA, and I have heard nothing but amazing things from his Talent Agent, Andrew Crusse. Brannon when to LA in August, and was able to act in a few commercials, including both acting and dancing in a national commercial for the Nintendo HSM3 Wii video game, directed by Disney High School Musicals own Kenny Ortega! He also appeared as the main model of a French Childrens clothing catalog. Brannon is a genuinely nice guy, and I expect quite a bit from this great young actor.

John Robert Powers Sacramento Success Story!

Here is yet another fantastic little actor from JRP Sacramento! Brian Baumgaurten has filmed a big commercial for Cranium Family Addition. He is a super cute little kid, who went and did very well at iPOP. He has been with JRP Sacramento for a couple of years now, and big things are expected of this guy. Here is a great new model of John Robert Powers Sacramento, Sarah Walker. She has been placed with a great local Seattle Modeling agency, Seattle Models Guild, but we have much higher hopes for her. She has had interest from both the Beatrice modeling agency and the Major modeling agency (excellent European modeling agencies), and I think with her height and very delightful personality, she should really break through into the high fashion modeling world, she certainly has had a lot of attention by some of the top modeling agents from Seattle to LA to NY. What makes John Robert Powers Sacramento Special

I would like to introduce you to one of my favorite John Robert Powers Seattle clients of all-time, Alexis Lambert!

This is a kid that a lot of the clients and families of John Robert Powers Seattle are familiar with, as she works for us on the days we bring talent agents and modeling agents to JRP Seattle, but I wanted to highlight here because she is exactly the kind of kid that makes our studio such a fantastic place. She began working with us in 2002, as a super cute little nine year old. She attended a big convention in NY in 2003, and has since done all sorts of things. She has been represented by a Seattle Talent agent and Seattle Modeling agent, TCM locally, as well as by Indra Clark of CTG LA, a great LA talent agent, who found her on a scouting trip to John Robert Powers Seattle. Now she is represented across the board by Tiffany Attwood at RPM Talent LA. Alexis has modeled print jobs for Macy's, Student Supply, SanMar, Fashion Designer Minju/McKay (I went to her runway show, Alexis was amazing), Getty Images, and Zumiez. She has also done some acting in an industrial film for the California Highway Patrol, a voice over for the Washington GET Program, and modeled in runway shows for Project Ethos 3 & 5 in LA, Minju/McKay, Teenest, and Hour Eyes. Alexis has also acted in a number of student films and independent films.

As impressive as all of that is, most of you know her from helping run the line for Agent Days, and know exactly how warm, professional, sincere, and adorable she is. All of us at John Robert Powers Seattle really feel that while Alexis has a great look for a model, and is an excellent actress, it is her incredibly likable personality that is going to make the entertainment business a career opportunity for her. Hey everybody, I want to introduce you to a great friend of mine, John Robert Powers Sacramento actor Nick White! Nick is an amazing kid, and his acting career is starting to take off. Nick has been a client for over a year at JRP Sacramento, and has earned a ton of praise from the acting coaches and staff, as well as being super popular with our other kids and clients. This summer he went to iPOP Las Vegas, and did a fantastic job. Not just with winning all sorts of acting and modeling awards, not just with getting callbacks from some of the best talent agencies in attendance, but he was such an enthusiastic, positive, and fun influence on our whole team of actors and models. Nick signed with Brad Diffley of Mavrick Artists, a very successful Talent Agency who comes up to John Robert Powers Sacramento once a year, and Brad has very high hopes for him. JRP Sacramento star Jillian Nelson is down in LA right now, and starring in the new hit video for country music star Toby Keith! The video is for the song "God Love Her", and Jillian looks stunning in it. I can't believe this great actress and model doesn't have her own show on Disney. Jillian has also been an actress in a music video for Rascal Flatts, as well modeling in an international campaign for Crystal Geyser, and acted in an episode of the Nickelodeon hit "Zoey 101". She also has modeled in several different runway shows and has been a model in a few print campaigns and look books. She is signed with the Luber Rocklin Management agency, as well as the NTA talent agency in LA. Another great model and actor from John Robert Powers Sacramento! Way to go Jillian!

Great job! Talent Agent Andrew Crusse of Superior Talent LA thought all of the actors at JRP Sacramento were fantastic! He was amazed at how many great child actors and models we had, and you all were so prepared last Saturday. I don't know how many of you have had the pleasure of meeting or working with Miah, but she might be the cutest little kid in the entire world. Miah has been with us at John Robert Powers Seattle for about for about ten months now, and she is doing incredibly well. She was THE star of iPOP LV 2008.  She is a great model and great actress, and won just about every event she entered, including winning Star of the Year for her division. She also won Actress of the Year, honorable mention in Model of the Year, honorable mention in Runway, honorable mention in Fashion Print, honorable mention in Commercial Print, winner of Best Monologue, winner in TV Beauty, honorable mention in TV Commercial, and honorable mention in Best Headshot. Whew. That made me tired just to type all of that!  She has the attention of quite a few talent agents, I can't wait to see what her future entails, everyone here at JRP Seattle is so proud of her. Hailey Barthel is a great JRP Sacramento triple threat, she can act, model, and sing! After attending iPOP LV 2008, she has been working with Jason Davis of Fahren Conheit Media NY, and recording original songs. She now has a MySpace page, and needs people to sign up as her friend. The more friends that she has, the more likely she will have success with the record companies. Disney is also looking at her songs to possibly use in a movie! I can't believe how talented the actors and models of John Robert Powers Sacramento are!

Jackson has been with us for almost a year exactly, and he went to iPOP Las Vegas last summer. He won Actor of the Year for his division, as well as winning Best Monologue, getting first runner-up in TV Beauty Commercial, and getting about fifteen of the best talent agents and talent managers at the convention to put him on their call back list. JRP Sacramento acting Success Story Shelby Zemaneck!

Everyone knows Shelby Zemaneck by now: super cute, super sweet, and a super good actress. She is from our John Robert Powers Sacramento office, and has made a huge splash in Hollywood so far. Shelby is signed with one of the best talent agencies in LA, Coast to Coast LA, and has already acted in a few commercials, including an incredibly cute Betty Crocker commercial. She has also acted in a few commercials for Disney and Barbie. She has also turned a guest star appearance on the ABC sitcom "How I Met Your Mother" into a recurring role. Way to go Shelby!

Even cooler is that her first movie comes out really soon! She has a role in the new Jim Carrey comedy "Yes Man". We are also very excited to see her in next summer's blockbuster "Angels and Demons", the prequel to "The Davinci Code" that is starring Tom Hanks.

Hey everyone, here is an update on John Robert Powers Sacramento actor and model Brannon Tompkins. Brannon is signed with Superior Talent agency in LA, and his talent agent Andrew Crusse is heading up to Sacramento in a few weeks, then Seattle right after that. Brannon spent the month of August down in LA, and was remarkably successful. He acted in commercials with Disney XD and the new Disney High School Musical 3 video game, which was directed by HSM director Kenny Ortega (an old friend of John Robert Powers Seattle coach Linda Hoxit-Smith). He has also booked modeling jobs for Disney XD, Nintendo Lifestyle, and a French Clothing catalog Vertbaudet/VB. He is a fantastic kid, and his talent agent is super excited to get Brannon back down to Hollywood for pilot season. John Robert Powers Sacramento Modeling Success!

Everyone is going to know who these John Robert Powers Sacramento models are in the next year. Andrey and Vladimir Ivanov of John Robert Powers Sacramento are two new stars in the modeling industry. Discovered by Hank Ritter at JRP Sacramento, they both competed at iPOP July 2008 in Las Vegas, and swept awards for both acting and modeling in their respective competitions. Andrey had callbacks and interest from almost sixty different modeling agencies and talent agencies. Andrey is modeling in Paris, and shooting with a ton of great photographers. He is signed with JE Models modeling agency, Wilhelmina Modeling agency, and one of the best mens modeling agencies in Europe, Ford Europe. He has modeled in multiple campaigns already. Just six months ago he was a bank teller! Vlad Ivanov is already seen on the Abercrombie and Fitch website, and has been working non-stop. Vlad was named Mr. iPOP for being sought after by virtually every talent agent and modeling agency at the event. He is also signed with both the JE Modeling agency in San Francisco, as well as Wilhelmina LA, the best modeling agency in the US. He is a great guy, who is just as good as actor as model. They are complete professionals, both extremely polite, friendly, and genuinely nice guys. Everyone at John Robert Powers Sacramento is so happy for thier successes.

A reminder that Mara Santino of Luber Roklin Management is coming to John Robert Powers Sacramento on Saturday the 18th. They are a fantastic management agency who also produced five movies last year, including "Evan Almighty" starring Steve Carrell. They also represent the Emmy award winning actress Jaime Pressley of "My Name is Earl" and actor Ben Barnes, who played Prince Caspian in "Chronicles of Narnia". Hey Everyone,

If you are all Disney fans, then you know who Kenny Ortega is. He is the Director and Choreographer of Disney High School Musical movies. He just worked with John Robert Powers Seattle actor Brannon Tompkins on a new commercial for the High School Musical 3 video game. It turns out that Kenny is an old friend of our acting coach Miss Linda. Linda worked with Kenny way back in the 1980's on commercials for Frexinet Champagne. Miss Linda was a very accomplished actress, model, singer, and dancer. Small world!
